Neex has appointed Mohamed Abushamat as Head of the MENA Region, giving him responsibility for the forex and CFD broker's activities across the Middle East and North Africa.
Based in Dubai, Abushamat has worked with Neex's regional team, according to his LinkedIn profile. In his new role, he will support the company's commercial plans and manage its growing presence across MENA markets.
Abushamat has already played an active role in Neex's regional sales efforts. Earlier in 2026, he shared that he had been named the company's January Sales Star for his work in sales, client follow-ups, and business development.
The promotion expands his responsibilities to include regional growth, team management, client and partner relationships, and commercial strategy. His work will cover key markets across the Middle East and North Africa.
The appointment comes as Neex continues to expand its international operations. The company is an online CFD broker that offers trading access to forex, indices, commodities, and other financial markets. Its operations cover the Middle East, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, and the Pacific.
MENA is an important part of Neex's international business. In the UAE, Neex Securities LLC holds a Category 5 license from the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA). The license covers introducing and promotional activities and gives the group a regulated presence in one of the region's main financial centers.
Neex also operates through regulated entities in South Africa and Mauritius. Neex (Pty) Ltd is authorized by South Africa's Financial Sector Conduct Authority, while Neex International Limited is regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius.
Abushamat's appointment adds to Neex's regional leadership as the broker develops its client base, partnerships, and commercial operations across the Middle East and North Africa.
