TegasFX Review 2026: Regulation, Fees & Account Types

TegasFX is a forex and CFD broker founded in 2016 that offers MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading, an ECN/STP execution model and a mix of live account types. This TegasFX review looks at regulation, costs, platforms, funding options, bonuses and support, so you can decide whether the broker fits your trading style and risk tolerance.

In short, TegasFX has real strengths in platform choice and account structure, but its Tier-3 offshore regulation is the main issue for most traders. Our overall rating is 3.00 out of 5.

TegasFX Overview: What the Broker Offers

TegasFX provides access to Forex pairs and CFDs on metals, energies, indices and cryptocurrencies. The broker operates under Clover Markets Ltd. and presents itself as a broker that follows international standards. It also offers a FIX API option for certain clients, aimed at more advanced and professional traders.

The broker's core model is ECN/STP, which means orders are routed to liquidity providers rather than handled purely on the broker's own dealing desk. Its stated liquidity providers include J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank, among others.

Regulation and Safety of TegasFX

TegasFX is licensed by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC). Vanuatu is an offshore jurisdiction, and offshore oversight is generally lighter than what you get from top-tier regulators such as the FCA or ASIC. In practice, that means less protection if something goes wrong, and recovering funds after a dispute can be difficult.

Key safety points from the broker's materials and our data:

  • Regulator: VFSC (Vanuatu), classified as Tier-3
  • Investor protection fund: no specific fund listed
  • Negative balance protection: not offered
  • KYC checks: yes
  • Client funds: the broker states they are segregated and held at banks, including DBS Bank

Some older descriptions of the company also mention other regulators. We could not verify those claims against a current regulator register, so check the VFSC register and the broker's legal documents directly before depositing.

TegasFX Account Types

TegasFX offers a demo account and several live ECN/STP accounts. The broker does not offer Cent, Standard or VIP-style account structures, so choice is narrower than at larger brokers.

Account Minimum deposit Listed spread (from) Commission
MT4 ECN/STP $200 0.1 pips $4 per lot
MT4 ECN/STP Pro $2,000 0.1 pips $3.50 per lot
MT5 ECN/STP Pro+ $1,000 0.1 pips From $3.50 per lot
FIX API 4.4 $10,000 0.1 pips Set individually

The entry-level MT4 ECN/STP account is the most accessible option. The FIX API account is typically aimed at professional and institutional traders who need FIX connectivity. The minimum order size is 0.01 lots, and position sizes range from 0.01 to 200 lots.

TegasFX Fees and Spreads

TegasFX can be competitive on EUR/USD, but overall Forex costs may run higher than those of some large competitors, particularly on GBP/USD. Spreads on some CFDs, especially crypto CFDs, can be wider. Trading costs also depend on the account you choose, so compare the commission and spread together rather than focusing on one number.

In a sample comparison of ECN/RAW conditions, TegasFX showed a commission of 4.0 per lot, against 2 for Interactive Brokers and 3.5 for OANDA. Average EUR/USD spreads were similar to Interactive Brokers, while GBP/USD spreads were noticeably wider on TegasFX (0.8 compared with 0.3 and 0.2).

Non-trading fees can add up depending on how you fund and withdraw:

  • Deposit fee: 0.5% to 3.5%, depending on method
  • Withdrawal fee: 0.25% to 1%
  • Inactivity fee: $5 per month

Leverage is a major factor in risk. Our data lists maximum leverage of up to 1:500, but other sections of the broker's materials cite lower limits. Confirm the current leverage for your account and instrument before trading, since leverage differs by asset class.

TegasFX Trading Platforms

TegasFX supports MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 on desktop and mobile. Both platforms are widely used, offer familiar charting and order tools, and support expert advisors (EAs) and automated trading. The broker also states that it allows most strategies, including scalping and hedging, subject to its own rules.

The FIX API 4.4 option is separate from the standard platforms and is designed for connectivity rather than retail use.

Deposits and Withdrawals at TegasFX

TegasFX offers a range of funding methods, including bank card, bank wire and several crypto options (BTC, USDT and Ethereum). Base account currencies include USD, EUR and cryptocurrency. Deposit and withdrawal flexibility is the weaker side of the offering, and fees can make a difference for smaller accounts.

  • Minimum deposit: $200
  • Minimum withdrawal: $10 to $50, depending on method and account

Always check the processing times and fees for your chosen method before funding.

TegasFX Bonuses and Promotions

The broker currently advertises a 100% welcome bonus. Bonus offers change often and usually carry withdrawal conditions, so read the full terms before accepting one. A bonus should never be the main reason to choose a broker, particularly one with Tier-3 regulation. Note that some sections of the broker's materials list no bonuses or contests, so confirm what is available on the official site.

Markets and Tradable Assets

TegasFX lists around 200 tradable instruments, including 36 Forex pairs. That is a reasonable range for a smaller broker, but it is narrower than many larger firms. The broker does not offer CFDs on stocks or bonds, and it does not list commodity futures or options. If you want broad equity access, you will need another provider.

Customer Support and Education

Support is available through phone, email, live chat and support tickets. Response quality is generally described as acceptable, but replies may slow down on weekends and holidays. Support is described as multilingual.

Education is limited, mostly short videos about account setup and platform use. Beginners will likely need external learning resources before trading live, and a demo account is a useful way to practise without risking real money.

Who TegasFX Is For

TegasFX may suit traders who want several account types and MT4 or MT5 access, who are comfortable with offshore regulation, and who want copy trading or PAMM/MAM options. It is less suitable for beginners who need strong education, for traders who prioritise top-tier regulatory protection, or for anyone looking for stocks and bonds in one account.

Trading CFDs and leveraged Forex carries a high risk of losing money quickly. Only trade with funds you can afford to lose, and make sure you understand how leverage and margin work.

Alternatives to Consider

If regulation is your top priority, compare TegasFX with brokers that have stronger oversight. Our XM Group review and JustMarkets review cover other options with different regulatory and account setups.
